“Only the development of compassion and understanding for others can bring us the tranquility and happiness we all seek.”
― Dalai Lama XIV

Reading Fantasy
I sit beneath my reading tree
The open pages singing to me
I sail storm-tossed oceans
With handsome heroes as mateys
We fight for good
Over snowy peaks and in sparkling pink seas
How can I stop with the pirates attacking
Who could leave with a princess in need
I’ll finish just one more chapter
Just one more page for me
Lost
“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”
― Charles William Eliot
Someday I’m going to get lost in my library
I’ll sit down to read a good fantasy
And them maybe just one other
And when I am done, I will be shocked to discover
Old man winter had come
And then what can I do but find a few more pages
To go flipping through
Sing
Fly
“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”
― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
Some Day
“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”
― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
Spring
“It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke
Never
“So many people will tell you “no”, and you need to find something you believe in so hard that you just smile and tell them “watch me”.
~Charlotte Eriksson
Never be scared
To sing out loud
Never hesitate
To speak honestly
Never be ashamed
To dance in the rain
And never be afraid
To believe in your dreams
Pictures
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection”
-Gautama Buddha
The most important thing
Is not what is seen
Through the eyes of the picture taker
But the image you keep for yourself
Hope
“It is often in the darkest
skies that we see the
brightest stars.”
― Richard Evans
